Nate Stern has been captivated by the world of fashion ever since recognizing that the clothing you choose to wear signals everything about who you are — it is an ultimate form of self-expression. Despite acknowledging this influence of fashion, Nate dismissed the possibility of pursuing it professionally. In 2016, he graduated from Occidental College with a Bachelor’s in Economics, intent on taking a more pragmatic path. After working at a marketing agency for two years, he came to realize that the corporate office-job was not the fulfilling path he began to so desperately seek. It took a lot of courage, but eventually he stepped away from his salaried job and devoted himself to earning a creative role as a designer.

Nate is grateful to be a blend of both of his parents' personalities, which speaks to the value he sees of a balanced skillset and aura. Nate’s mother is an independent designer of almost five decades and is a huge source of inspiration for him. His father on the other hand represents a more left-brain mode, paired with kindness and generosity.

Having attended a top liberal arts college, Nate adopted the outlook that diversifying one’s learning is more constructive than maintaining a singular focus. Whether it was taking a rigorous Managerial Economics course at Occidental, starting a clothing company while also in college, or raising millions of dollars for humanitarian campaigns, each of these experiences has played a part in building Nate’s positive character and bolstering his professionalism.
